What are the signs of a failing roof?

Interior damage is one clear sign. Missing shingles, decay of shingles, damages to roof from a storm, and debris damaging your roof.

Does a leaky roof need to be completely replaced?

Depending on leak, most likely, yes.

What are unforeseen damages?

Damage to your decking, which is your wood.

What areas do you work in?

Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Florida and Tennessee.

Do you do commercial roofing?

Yes, we do all type of flat roofing, single ply, epdm, modified bitumen, etc.

How long does it take to have my roof put on?

Typically a day to a day and a half. Weather, like rain, can delay roof installation.

What type of shingles do you use?

We at Wiggins Roofing use architectural design shingles.

Do I get to pick my color of shingles?

Yes.

Can I purchase my own shingles?

No.

Do you replace gutters and facia board?

Yes, if you go through your insurance and it’s approved.

Do you replace flashing?

Yes – in valleys, chimneys, skylights and pipes.

Do you install metal roofs?

Yes.

Is a metal roof better for a home?

It’s up to the homeowner; but metal can be damaged by hail and debris, which can then cause rusting.

Is it recommended to have your roof sprayed with the coating that we see on the TV commercials?

Spray coating is not recommended. If your roof has lived out its life expectancy, then it’s better to replace it. The problem is the unforeseen damage to your decking boards, which can be a whole other problem.

Can you install a roof in the winter?

Depending on the temperature, we keep working up until the heaviest snow fall – usually in February.

Do you clean up after the roof is installed?

Yes, we do a full clean up and we use a metal magnet to pick up all nails.

Do you use a dumpster?

Yes, we have all of our dumpsters delivered to the project site. Our dumpsters are on wheels. Your driveway will be safe.

How long should a roof last?

Depending on the shingles you have or are having installed, the shingles we install last 30 years.

What does a roof cost for my home?

It depends on square footage of your roof and unforeseen damages under your shingles, skylights, etc.

Does my homeowners insurance cover my roof?

If you have storm coverage, most likely yes.

Do I have to pay my deductible if I go through my insurance company?

Wiggins Roofing will waive $500 of your deductible. If you’re not going through your insurance, you don’t need to worry about your deductible.

Do I have to put any money down for my new roof?

No, if you’re going through insurance. If you’re going through our financing, you don’t have to put money down either. If you’re paying out of pocket, then half down is due to get the roof completed and the remainder is due once the roof is complete.
